The syllabus of the Bed course will consist of the following three parts.
  1. PART 1                   THEORY                                         700 MARKS
  2. PART 2                   SKILL IN TEACHING                    300 MARKS
  3. PART 3                   SESSIONAL WORK                      200 MARKS

PART 1 THEORY :-
1) Evaluation of this paper will be external as well internal.
2) Each theory paper will be of three hours duration. This part will consist of seven papers.

Part 2 Skill in Teaching           20(Internal)          80(External)                100

1) Five core micro teaching skills in simulation and two lesson in each skill in each subject.
2) At least two demonstration lesson in each subject.
3) At least two discussion lesson in each subject.
4) At least 30 observation lessons.
5) Teaching practice of 30 working days with a minimum of 25 lessons in each subject.
6) Black board writing and sketch making.
7) At least two teaching aids in each subject.
 
 

Part 3 Sessional Work                                                                     200 Marks

 

1) Work experience                                                                       40 (external)
                                                                                                            10 (internal)
 There will be practical work in this part. External evaluation will be done by the board of two examiners – one internal and one external with the principal as coordinator. Internal evaluation will be done on the basis of a file maintained by the student. Student must attend 75 % of the total periods allotted to this activity. 

 

2) Black Board Writing and Sketch making                             40 (external)

External evaluation will be done by the board of two examiners – one internal and one external with the principal as coordinator. Internal evaluation will be done on the basis of a file maintained by the student. Student must attend
75 % of the total periods allotted to this activity. 

 

3) Games and Sports                                                                     40 (external)

Participation in games and sports is compulsory. External evaluation will be done by the board of two examiners – one internal and one external with the principal as coordinator. Internal evaluation will be done on the basis of a file maintained by the student. Student must attend 75 % of the total periods allotted to this activity. 

 

4) Co-curricular Activities                                                             25 (internal)  
Internal evaluation will be done by the board of four examiners – with the principal as coordinator. Three examiners will be nominated by the principal. Internal evaluation will be done on the basis of performance and participation in college, inter college and university level programmes. Student must attend 75 % of the total periods allotted to this activity. 

 

 5) Community Work                                                                      25 (internal)
Internal evaluation will be done by the board of four examiners – with the principal as coordinator. Three examiners will be nominated by the principal. Internal evaluation will be done on the basis of performance and participation in blood donation camps, campus improvement, adult literacy classes, and community service by the students. Student must attend 75 % of the total periods allotted to this activity.
